In a tragic incident, a three-year-old boy lost his life after being hit by a speeding car in the Manish Nagar area of Nagpur on Monday. The entire incident was captured on CCTV, and the footage has since surfaced.The deceased has been identified as Shriansh Pankaj Ashtankar (3).
According to police, Shriansh had accompanied his father to a shop and was playing outside the premises. While playing, he accidentally wandered onto the road, where he was struck by a passing car.
Following the collision, family members and local residents rushed the child to Taywade Hospital. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (Medical), where doctors declared him dead.
The incident occurred near Ashray Society in Manish Nagar. After receiving information, Beltarodi Police reached the spot, detained the driver, identified as Harshad Wahane, and registered a case against him.
Police have launched a detailed investigation into the incident.The CCTV footage of the accident has emerged and is expected to play a key role in the ongoing investigation.
