Nagpur will soon get electricity ombudsman. Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) will appoint two ombudsman for mumbai and nagpur region.
MERC has called application from retired high court judges and retired bureaucrat. Primary function of ombudsman is to monitor the functioning of electricity companies. They will also take complaints against the company from consumer and adjudicate over dispute.
