Artificial intelligence is reshaping India’s IT sector, with large-scale layoffs among experienced staff even as new opportunities emerge, and companies like Tata Consultancy Services altering their work models to adapt. Amid this shift, a Nagpur-based technology firm has struck a deal expected to strengthen the city’s IT industry on the global stage.
Pragmatic Global Private Limited, headquartered in MIHAN, has acquired US-based IT services firm Sycon Consultants Inc., a move seen as a significant boost for Nagpur’s tech ecosystem. Pragmatic has built strong expertise in computer vision, predictive analytics and data engineering, with a notable track record in AI and data-driven solutions for manufacturing, logistics and industrial sectors.
Following the acquisition, Sycon Consultants will be able to combine enterprise data capabilities with advanced industrial systems to offer smarter, more efficient, data-driven business solutions to clients. The deal is also expected to strengthen the company’s presence in the US market while expanding its global delivery capacity, opening fresh employment opportunities in the MIHAN area.
Sycon Consultants, established in 1998, currently employs over 1,600 people.
