All Nazul plot in Nagpur and Amravati divisions are now free from state government hold as the Cabinet has decided to make them free hold properties. The respective collectors of the districts have been given power to convert such land from government holding to free hold.
This decision will benefit thousand of plot holders who can now get hold of their property either acquired during auction or through lease. For the purpose, the State government has formed a committee, which has been asked to submit its report to the government within three months.
It is a major relief for the owners of these plots, who can now sell, rent or develop these plots without any prior permission from the collector’s office, which was a very tedious process.
