In memory of late Captain Chafekar who spent many years in training and encouraging students of Nagpur to join defence services, Armed Forces Preparatory Academy, Nagpur is organizing a free seminar at Chitnavis Centre at 4:00 PM on 31st March 2019.
Air Vice Marshal SC Chafekar AVSM SC (Retd), son of late Captain Chafekar will speak about the various “Career options in Defence after 12th”. This seminar is open for boys appearing in class 10th board exam in March 2019 with one parent against prior registration only.
Armed Forces Preparatory Academy, Nagpur is the only academy in Central India for preparing students desirous of joining defence services as officers. Promoted and managed by retired defence officers, this academy has the complete military infrastructure required for such preparations.
In 2018, this academy has contributed 68 students from across the country who joined various academies and are doing their initial training which includes about 20 candidates from in and around Nagpur. Keeping in mind the crossroads that every student faces after STD 10th, this academy has come up with a unique 2 years integrated course that will not only prepare the students for 12th standard board exam but will also prepare them for the prestigious National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla entrance examination conducted by the UPSC, followed by the Services Selection Board interview process.
