Talent will be neglected if reservation goes beyond 50%

Under the banner of ‘Save Merit –Save India’, the Students and parents  organised a peaceful protest in Dhantoli demanding equal rights in education.

The protesters expressed fear over losing talented crowd from India if the reservation exceeds beyond 50 percent.

The main demand of the protesters was that the reservation of any kind should not exceed 50%. Balance 50% should be allotted to the candidates of any case or category. They also demanded a complete revamp of the reservation policy.

The rally was taken out from Neuron Hospital Square and ended at Dhantoli MSEB office. People from all sections supported the protest. They vowed to continue the protest till the demand is

A participant said,” The reservation system needs to be revised as the undeserving candidates are taking repetitive advantage while the deserving are neglected”.

In Maharashtra, the reservation which was 52% has now touched to 78% after the newly introduced socially economically Backward Classes (SEBC) and economically weaker section reservations.

With this current scenario students under general category are facing hard time to get admission in their desired college despite making to the cut off.
