Hiwse new registrar or NU, Hirekhan CoE

The Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) has made three reshuffle in the administration on Friday. The additional post of university registrar was handed over to finance and accounts officer, Dr Raju Hiwse while the additional charge of director of exams and evaluation was given to Dr Anil Hirekhan. The charge of assistant registrar was given to Pradip Masram.

These changes were made after the resignation of the registrar and director of exams and evaluation, Dr Niraj Khati, who has been appointed as professor of chemistry in Lakshminarayan Institute of Technology (LIT). His appointment at LIT had already resulted in a row. The officials who have been given the new responsibilities have taken charge as soon as they were given the posts. However, Hirekhan seems to be not happy with the new taks. He was expecting the post of the registrar. He had reportedly opposed the appointment of Dr Khati and also lodged a complaint against him.

The commission had asked RTMNU to immediately hand over the post to Hirekhan but the university did not comply. Vice-chancellor of RTMNU Dr Siddharth Vinayak Kane is reportedly unhappy with Hirekhan and hence he has not been appointed registrar.
