The Nagpur Municipal Corporation and Orange City Water in order to conduct a check in the water supply system have planned to take 24 hours shutdown in Dhantoli zone on April 24 and 25.
There will also be an interruption in the water supply at Governor House Old Wanjari Nagar Feeder main on April 24 from 10 am to April 25 till 10 am.
The NMC informed that several works related to water supply will be taken up during this shutdown following which proper flow of water will be possible in Dhantoli Zone.
The shutdown will be conducted in two phases. Second phase shutdown will be done in GH Omkar Nagar Feeder Main to complete the work.
During the shutdown, the OCW will take up Interconnection of 600mm x 500mm diameter pipe and other repair work as well.
The areas to remain affected with the shutdown are, Jattarodi No 1, 2, 3, Indira Nagar, Imamwada, Rambagh, Untkhana, Great Nag Road, Patel Timber Market, Dhamma Nagar, Borkar Nagar and Rajabaksha.
Ajni Railway, Government medical College and Hospital, TATA Capital Heights will also be affected from the Wednesday morning till Thursday morning.
NMC and OCW have appealed people living in these areas to store water as their will be water supply through tankers.
