Nagpur police have made full proof arrangements at Jawaharlal Nehru Market, Kalamna for the counting of votes on Thursday. Deputy Commissioner of Police Nirmala Devi has monitored security arrangements under the supervision of commissioner of police Dr Bhushan Upadhyay, joint commissioner Ravindra Kadam and Additional commissioner BG Gaikar.
They also visited the Kalamna market yard to review the preparations. Jawans of Central and State reserve police force along with three deputy commissioner of police rank officials, 7 assistant police commissioners, 23 police inspectors , 107 assistant police inspectors along with 1742 police jawans have been deployed at the Kalamna market yard.
Four teams of riots control team, rapid action force are also deployed. A team of traffic police comprising 8 inspectors, 10 assistant police inspectors along with 141 cops have been deployed at the centre.
Police have also made adequate security arrangements near the house of contestants and busy roads. Surveillance has been increased and suspected vehicles are being checked by cops.
