Members of Gujarati Mahila Samaj pay visit to Matoshree Vrudhashram

Members of Gujarati Samaj, Wardha road visited Matoshree Vrudhashram, Adasa recently. The members distributed food items, grocery, bath towel, steel bowls, snack and chocolates to each person residing at the old age home.

The items were distributed by the hand of President Dr. Veena Talavia, Secretary, Meena Thakkar , Bharti Wani, Naina Parikh, Dipika Trivedi and Indira Shah.

Dr Talvia expressed her views by saying “are we heading towards 21st century by leaving parents in old age homes? Is it modernisation or is it so called freedom, was the thought that came to my mind while interacting with the senior citizens”.

The members of Gujarati Samaj also prepared a delicious lunch for the members of Vrudhashram.

Members Niru Vora, Charu Soni, Kumud Shah, Jaya Hirpara, Hansa Thakar, Ketki Shukla, Vijaya Thakkar, Nirmala Cheda, Varsha Parekh, Uma Hargan, Ila Shah, Kailash  Pitroda, Sangita Ajmera along with Bharti Karia, Anupama Gadhia, Pratibha Vadalia, Jayshri Thakkar and Lilavati Thakkar donated a lump sum amount for the success of the event.

Senior citizens were delighted to see the members of Gujarati Mahila Samaj. They shared their experiences which left all with teary eyes and heavy heart.
