26th Annual Day programme of Ashadeep Apang Mahila Vikas Sanstha ends with great zeal

Ashadeep Apang MahilaBal Vikas Sanstha aims at bringing Divyang people into mainstream since last 26 years. Many students connected to the sanstha are excelling in studies and games and some are rehabilitated and well placed now. These efforts were well appreciated by Dr. Pramod Padole, Director, VNIT.

He was addressing the 26th Annual Day programme held at Bhagini Mandal on July 17,2019. He said that new technologies are coming up everyday to help Divyang solve the day to day difficulties and making the life easy and assured that VNIT always help Ashadeep in their endeavour.

The programme started with lighting the lamp. The team from Blind school presented “Gayatri Mantra” and ‘’Nirdhar Geet” on the occasion. Introductory speech was delivered by LB. Patil senior advior oof Sanstha, whereas, Aparna Kulkarni. Secretary, presented annual report. Every year, a prize in the memory of late Usha Sant is presented to a Divyang person who, inspite of his disability works for social and financial rehabilitation of other Divyanga persons.

This year, this honour was given to Prafulla Ukunde. The price included Momento, Scroll of honour and cash prize. A E-magazine representing activities of Ashadeep was launched on the occasion and is also uploaded on social media.

Meritorious divyanga students from various schools in Nagpur district who passed 10th and 12th class this year were also felicitate. Ashtika Majgori( blind category), Gajanan Fale (deaf and dumb category) and Rutuk Kharde were Late Shri Vasant Moghe, late Smt Vasanti Moghe and Ashadeep prize respectively.

Persons who extended their helping hand as writers for the blind students, as well as the members who are attached to Sanstha and are now rehabilitated were also felicitated on this occasion. Pratima Shastri, President of the Sanstha, in her speech said that future activities of the Sanstha include the establishment of Internet cafe for divyang counseling sessions, games and sports, etc. under one roof. Chaya Tare proposed a vote of thanks. Anagha Nasery compared the programme.
