MSRTC submits an MoU demanding online process for smart cards

The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has started smart card facility for the passengers for the senior citizens under which they will not only get a concession of 50 percent on the bus fare but  will also be able to pay through the card. This will prove to be a hassle free ride as the senior citizens can go cashless as they can pay their bus fares with the smart card.

As soon as the rule was declared by MSRTC, the long queues were visible at the bus stops to obtain the smart cards. The long queues and the tedious process was getting difficult for the senior citizens standing and the rains were just adding to their misery.

In order to avoid long queues and make the process easier for the senior citizens Grahak Panchayat has submitted a Memorandum to depot in-charge demanding quick solution to taken.

The MoU also stated that an online service must be made available as it will make the process easier. The MoU was submitted by president of Grahak Panchayat Mahesh Dixit, secretary Kawadeshwar Bobde, Laxman Dahake and Pandurang Mude.
