65% seats still vacant after two rounds of CAP

Around 58,240 seats are vacant in the city colleges. Even after two rounds of  CAP – centralized admission process of standard 11th, 65 %  of seats are sill vacant due to which a third round of admission process on the basis of which students were allotted seats on Thursday.

However the Education Department has claimed that the remaining seats will be filled up after the results of SSC supplementary exams are out. It should be noted that currently the students are appearing for SSC supplementary examinations.

The authorities have claimed that after the Supplementary exams are declared 80-85 % seats would be filled.

On the other hand, the student stated that very few students are appearing for the retest and it would hardly make any difference in the graph of vacant seats. At present the colleges are relying on the assumptions and expectation of the Education Department.
