Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today dismissed the apprehension of the OBC members of community that their seats in Zilla Parishad will be cut. He said the seats may either increase in those some of the ZPs and completely ruled out reduction of seats.

Resuming his “Mahajanadesh yatra”, Fadnavis while addressing a crowded press conference, here today said the State will plead in the apex court on this issue as the Supreme Court was seized of the matter.

Fadnavis said there was not data for OBC quota but State government has now prepared it and will be submitted to the apex court. Fadnavis who has launched his yatra to seek another term on August 1 from Mozri in Amravati district said the tremendous response from the public was all set to return to power dismissed a question on Shiv Sena saying our fight in the forthcoming Assembly election will be together and since it was BJP’s yatra, Sena was not involved.

He further said the seats sharing formula will be finalized formally and after giving it to allies partner both parties will decide the number of seats to be contested. Fadnavis ridiculed the Opposition stance on EVMs this is the time to reach out to the electorate but instead they are indulging in describing faulty EVMs.

The voters have identified them as ineligible for votes and their position is lost in the crowd. They should have faith in the democracy, he further added. To a question, Fadnavis said the tender will be floated in next two three months for the prestigious Mumbai-Pune Hyper Loop as  it is being finalized.

I had the opportunity to witness it in Newada in USA and it runs on an average speed of 600 to 700 kmps. The Mumbai-Pune distance will be covered in 29 minutes and technology is comparatively cheaper.

Fadnavis today resumed his yatra and proceeded to Mouda on his way to Bhandara and Gondia.
