JIT organises Aagman 2019, BE first year Induction Program

Jhulelal Institute of Technology organized Aagman 2019 for newly inducted BE First Year students on August 5, 2019. It was 12th Induction Program of Jhulelal Institute of Technology. Shivakumar Rao, President VED was Chief-guest for the function. Dr. Debashis Bhowmick, Vice-principal and Head, Applied Sciences & Humanities Department gave the opening remarks.

He briefed about the curricular aspects and traditions of JIT. Pramod Pampatwar, Director Technical, JIT, motivated the students to think out of the box and give their 100% towards their studies and holistic development.

Chief-Guest, Rao stressed upon the importance of self-employability. He urged the students to use Incubation Centre to nurture their ideas and lauded seed amount of Rs 10 Lakhs provided by the management to hone the entrepreneurship skills of students. He praised the efforts taken by the institute for the excellent academic performance of students with 200+ university merits till date.

As is the tradition of JIT, the main attraction of the program was felicitation of more than 55 university rankers and college toppers of the academic year 2018-19. JIT proudly boasts of having 44 university rankers in the last academic session with 8 University First merit ranks. The college awarded Rs 1,65,000 as cash awards and prizes to the university and college rankers.

Kushi Sahu received a cash award of Rs 40,000/- and laptop for scoring highest marks in University amongst all BE First Year students. She is a recipient of Koli Memorial Awards of Rs 10,000/- for securing 100 out of 100 in M-I and Rs 10,000/- for overall First Year College Topper as well as Chotrani Memorial Award of Rs 20,000/- for overall First Year College Topper amongst all branches. The Second, Third and Final Year College Toppers amongst all branches Harsha Menda, Mrunal Thakre and Kundan Malwe respectively were recipients of Chotrani Memorial Awards of Rs 20,000/- each. Harsha Menda was also awarded mobile phone for securing First Rank in RTM Nagpur University in CSE Sem-III Winter 2018 examination.

Varsha Omprakash Katiwal was felicitated and received a cash award for securing University First Merit Rank in M.Tech (CSE) Sem-III conducted by RTM Nagpur University Winter 2018 examination. Five students of M.Tech (VLSI) secured University First Merit Rank in examination conducted by RTM Nagpur University during session 2018-19. The university First Merit Rankers were felicitated and given cash awards.

The recipients of cash awards were Aafiya Abdul Karim for M.Tech (VLSI) Sem-I, Hanafi Amber Shamshad Shaikh for M.Tech (VLSI) Sem- III, Shreya Umap for M.Tech (VLSI) Sem-II, Kajal Natthuji Dhawale for M.Tech (VLSI) Sem- IV and Subhashini Sarode for M.Tech (VLSI) Sem- IV. Mahesh Sadhwani Chairman, SSCT in his presidential address congratulated all the students for their brilliant academic performance and urged to continue the legacy of the institution. He motivated the students to strive hard to be successful.

Jayprakash Sahajramani, Treasurer, JIT; Madhavi Wairagade, Director HR-Admin, JIT and Dr. Narendra Bawane, Principal, JIT graced the occasion by their presence. Prof. Aarshi Nazish hosted the programme and Dr. Indrani Das Sarma, Faculty-in charge of the program proposed vote of thanks.
