New Traffic Fines compared to other Nations

New Traffic Fines compared to other Nations

In a recently released and studied chart of Motor Vehicle fines it can be clearly seen that the fines which are charged when breaking a traffic rule are comparatively lower than that of the other countries. The studied graph is made in Indian currency and has the traffic fines of many countries like Hong Kong, Singapore, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, and USA.

Few of the legal rules of USA and UK match to that of the rules of India while comparing. These two countries have almost the same variables where both the countries have a same amount of legal alcohol limit which is 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 milliliters of blood

In India, blood alcohol limit tolerated is .03%, which is 30 mg of alcohol per 100 ml of blood. The law calls for imprisonment up to 6 months and/or fine up to Rs 10,000 for the first offense, and imprisonment up to 2 years and/or fine of Rs 15000 for the second offense.

Also, According to UK rules, you may even get imprisonment for 3 months and a fine of rupees 2,16,929 whereas in Germany, drunk driving fines are around 1,18,359 when calculated in rupees.

In recent days, India has been witnessing a nuisance between police authorities and local citizens, as the new Motor Vehicle (MV) rule and fines have shaken the vehicle owners to the worst end. This hassle has raged up a vigil amongst the locals who have taken few rules in their own hands.  People are seen recording videos and clicking photos of the cops who are seen breaking traffic rules and are reporting these incidents to news channels as a ‘Trending News’ and are even seen posting the videos or photos on social media platforms.
