As the city is gearing for the assembly elections, one of the foremost part of the election process has already started, yes we are talking about the nomination process. And it has been reported that after the notification issued on Friday, on the first day not a single nomination was filed. For 12 Assembly seats of the district, 176 application forms were distributed. And the North Nagpur Assembly constituency, only three forms were sought for Umred constituency. As per tradition, after installation of Ghat for the Navaratrostav, and the declaration of candidates by the concerned political parties, they will accelerate the nomination process.
However, the workers of the different political parties are approaching for collecting the application forms for the concerned persons. And for the purpose, the different arrangements have done in every office. The list of constituency-based forms distributed are listed below.
South-West Nagpur-15,South Nagpur-23,West Nagpur-15,East Nagpur-10,Central Nagpur-20,North Nagpur-33,Kamptee-7,Hingna-13,Umred-3,Katol-10,Sanoer-9 and Ramtek-18.
The nomination forms will be accepted till 3 pm on October 4.And the verification of the papers will be done in October 5. And the nomination paper can be withdrawn till October 7.
The administration has taken stringent measures to conduct the polling in a peaceful manner, and many squads have arranged in the city for the security of the people.
