Both the siblings managed to alert everyone around them and even the control room of police department and fire department. The flat was seen burning as the clothes, AC duct, wire circuit other things like plants and grass were caught by fire. When the residents reached the flat the main door of the entrance was locked which was later broken and somehow the fire was doused. It took 30 to 40 minutes to totally extinguish the fire for the residents before the police and fire department reached.
Rajendra Uchake, chief fire officer said “The city reports around 15 to 20 incidents of fire every year during the Diwali season but this year it has decreased to a minimum level as half of the city is drenched and the whole city somewhat moist.
