Shastri Nagar water well temperature has been confirmed to be at a normal state. Geological Survey of India (GSI) have confirmed the temperature status of the water well. They have also confirmed that the water was getting heated by a flow of electric current somewhere underground nearby the well and is not a case of geothermal activity or hot water springs.
The authorities at GSI had asked the flat owners to get the help of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and search for the electricity leakage and the power cable disturbing the underground temperature.
Vishal Sakhare, Directir of GSI informed “the temperature of water on the day of incident was recorded to be 60 degree Celsius, while the water well of the same area were seen having a temperature of 29 degree Celsius”. Currently, the temperature of the water of Vimal Apartments is 32 degree Celsius which is said to be normal enough than the prior condition. The director added, in case of geo-thermal activity, temperature does not come down drastically and the only possibility is water getting heated up due to power leakage”
