Mayor listens to the residents of Garoba Maidan

The Walk and Talk with Mayor initiative is getting huge response and the newly elected mayor is strict towards the suggestions of corporators and residents of every area he had yet visited. On Friday, November 28 the Mayor visited Garoba Maidan, Dr. Babasaheb Garden, where Deputy Mayor Manisha Kotha, Lakdganj Zone President Rajkumar Sahu, former Standing Committee Chairman Narendra (Baliya) Borkar, corporator Kanta Rarokar, Manisha Ranade, Lakdganj Zone Assistant Commissioner Subhash Jaydevar, Agnakha Nagaon, Parks Nakam Nagaon Were present along with Joshi.

Joshi during his visit inspected the whole park and also checked the condition of the toilets On this, the Mayor directed the officials to prepare a proposal to construct two separate toilets for men and women and also directed that the construction materials which is found in the area and that the garbage should be cleared immediately.

The mayor then interacted with the citizens present in the park. Citizens raised their concerns and questions before the mayor. Ganesh Humayne has raised the issue of cleanliness and encroachment in the park and the area.

Nandakishore Khobragade brought up the problem of drinking water contaminated in the ward. Namdev Thackeray recommends installing CCTV cameras to prevent improper happenings in the park.

On this Joshi assured that the issues of the citizens will be taken seriously, he also said that a special campaign would be launched to increase the encroachment of the area and that the Citizens should submit their suggestions zones-wise. Joshi further added Citizens are more important in the development of the city and  urged the citizens to categorize the waste in their houses as dry. The superintendent and inspector of the park as well as the officers and staff of the zone and the mobile number plates should be placed in the front of the park, the mayor directed.
