The Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) will inspect Jhansi Rani Metro Station on December 13 during its day-long visit to Nagpur Metro Project. The 2-member team, including CMRS Shri Janak Kumar Garg, will inspect the facilities provided at the metro station.
Jhansi Rani Metro Station is one of the prominent Metro Stations of Reach-III of Aqua Line. Located on the busy North Ambazari Road, near Jhansi Rani Square, the Metro Station is of great importance as it is surrounded by commercial establishments, academic institutions, hospitals, cinema halls, malls, shops, bus depot. The entire East-West Corridor has been identified as `Aqua-Line’ given its proximity to water bodies, along its stretch.
Jhansi Rani Square Metro Station is built on 5,000 sq ft land. The two-story structure has a ticket counter, other essential services on the first floor. Lift and escalator have been provided to reach the platform, located on the second floor. Provision for rain-water harvesting has been done to ensure the utilisation of natural resources.
Other facilities like special arrangements for especially able and senior citizens have been provided to ensure to avoid any inconvenience to them while reaching platform. The station also has all other essential amenities. Reach-III of Aqua Line stretches from Lokmanya Nagar Metro Station to Sitabuldi Interchange and includes 9 stations inclusive of these two.
