Winter Carnival held at the CDS School, Katol Road Branch

December 24 was a fun filled day at the CDS School for the Kindergarten & Primary parents and their children. The children seemed excited and were dressed up depending on the event they participated in. The first look of the school conveyed to each one that there was some special event happening at the CDS School.

The Winter Carnival started with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the guests KiranMazumdar and AkashPandey who were the judges for ‘Mom & me’ and Fashion show ‘Global Attire’ along with school’s Director and the Principal.

It was a delight to see the Fashion show especially ‘The Global Attire’ where many students dressed as Japanese, Chinese & Mexican. It was truly eye catching.

Then came Mom and me Zumba which was judged by Mr. Anthony Alisfekar Anthony. The judge said “It’s a very good competition, an excellent programme”. The winners for the kindergarten section for Mom and Me Zumba were KrishaVerma and Harshika Gajbhiye; for Primary the Zumba winners were RijulMeshram and ViaanWaghmare.  Mr. Malcolm Lavocan was the judge for Zumba for the Primary sections and he said this was an amazing event.The school had colouring & collage making for the Kindergarten as well. Ms.VarshaDurugkar who is an accomplished drawing artist was the Judge.There was solo dance performance by the primary students and Shweta Tiwari was the judge. The school had conducted a semi final audition for which Aastha Asudani was the Judge; she commented that the children were full of grace & energy. The winner for the solo dance performance was Anushree Dhok and the second position went to Vidhi Ramteke and Riddhi Tiwari. In the colouring competition Aarah Meshram bagged the first prize and for the second position there was a tie between Prathma Gajbhiye of Nursery and Pranjal Kadve of KG-I.

In the collage making the first prize was awarded to Garima Gajbhiye of KG-I and the second Prize went to PranjalKadwe again from KG-I. S. Shakeel was the Judge for the singing competition and the first prize went to Yuvraj A. Halmare and there was a tie for the second place which was taken by Suhana Lechayance and Soham Singh. The prize for fashion show Global Attire was taken by Disha Banerjee who had dressed up as a Mexican girl.There was a surprise item a Flash Mob by the teachers with the in charge dressed up as Santa Clause who was giving goodies to everyone present. At the end Christina Mendonca proposed the vote of thanks.
