After Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) quarantined the residents of Satranjipura, a large number of people are being evacuated from Mominpura area. According to sources, these people are already living in hotspots and containment zones of Nagpur and even though they have an idea of their neighbour testing positive, these people are hiding their health related information.
Around 600 residents of Mominpura are to be put under quarantine for 14 days, during which they will be tested for the symptoms of COVID-19.
“Evacuating a large number of people and putting them in quarantine, does not mean that these people are found positive or even are suspected. It is just that these people belong to zone which is highly contagious and the same are at High Risk Contact as per scientific terms, with the patients who were earlier found to be positive. Hence it becomes necessary for us to conduct check-ups and test them for the symptoms†said Manish Soni, Smart City, PRO.
In this threatening situation the other citizens would panic looking at a large number of people being evacuated, so this becomes important to enlighten them on the same.
Health related information is important for the persons staying in containment zones and even for the government bodies to be aware and sure of the changes in situation of the pandemic. What health related information is to exactly disclose how a person is feeling. Does he have symptoms or if not even that, does he have any changes in his physical health.
According to sources, the residents staying in Satranjipura are scared and seem to panic with the idea of being in quarantine and have to be made mentally prepared by the NMC officials. These NMC officials are also including political leaders as well as religious leaders from Mominpura whose involvement accordingly is making a big move in making residents ready to shift into quarantine facility and having them tested.
