The nationwide lockdown after the outbreak of pandemic has created unpredictable situations for the public. The unavailability of transportation facility added more discomfort for the people.
Amid this situation; Air India operated two flights in Nagpur on Tuesday to carry special passengers. One flight reached at 6.30 am at Nagpur’s Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport and departed for Mumbai after an hour. It carried 123 passengers. Second flight reached the city at 6 pm.
Around 150 passengers boarded the flight that took off at 7 pm. These were the chartered flights by Air India that took employees of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), who got stuck in Nagpur due to lockdown.
As per the source, Air Arabia flight too is likely to come to Nagpur. On Sunday, a flight from Sharjah was supposed to arrive, but it was cancelled at the last minute. Union government is bringing the people who got stuck in foreign countries, under Vande Bharat Mission.
