Financial Woes, Online Education Remains Mirage for NMC Students

The outbreak of pandemic coronavirus has in real sense created an adverse impact in our life.Similarly,it has opened various truths of the life, especially the woes of deprived people.

After the lockdown declared in the nation the schools are closed. In view of the situation, the schools are resorting to online education, but here the question arises, can the parents of the students who are studying in NMC schools can afford all these facilities like smartphone, internet as most of the students from standard 8th to 10 have not even see the smartphone.

In this situation providing online education to these students will be a distant dream. As per information, the civic administration has started a survey to provide online education to NMC school students.

The survey indicates that most of the students do not have smartphone.Seventy percent students from Standard I to VII in NMC schools can handle smart phones but 65 to 70 percent students do not have it.More than half of the students even do not have TV sets in their homes. NMC Teachers Association president said that the financial crunch of the students is really a problem for imparting online education. However, but the situation demands online mode of education and for this the NMC fund should be made available for the students of class 8 to 12.
