State Forest Dept Grants Permission to Start Eco-tourism in Buffer Zones of PTR,TATR from July 1

The Maharashtra forest department will permit monsoon tourism in buffer zones of Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve(TATR)and Pench Tiger Reserve(PTR) from July 1,2020.As per information, limit has been imposed on eco-tourism and will be allowed only in areas where good roads are there in buffer zones of two aforementioned tiger reserves.

Similarly,eco tourism guidelines will be subject to conditions laid down by district collectors concerned and central and state governments.Permission for eco-tourism has been granted adhering to the guidelines of National Tiger Conservation Authority(NTCA).Eco-tourism in Nawegaon-Nagzira Tiger Reserve(NNTR) and Bor Tiger Reserve(BTR)will not be possible at present as preventive measures against COVID-19 are not available.And tourism will resume in these two tiger reserves from October1,2020 after rainly season as usual.
