Increase the testing for COVID-19: Shailesh Nawal, Amravati District Collector

Amravati: In the wake of rapid growth in the Covid -19 graph, Shailesh Nawal, Amravati District Collector, has instructed Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats in the district to raise testing for COVID-19 and also speed-up process to contact and treat suspected COVID19 patients.

Nawal instructed the authorities during a review meeting held between Chief Officers of Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats in the district through video conferencing.

All the Chief Officers from various Municipal Councils and Nagar Panchayats participated in the meeting through video conferencing from their respective offices.

Addressing further, Shailesh Nawal instructed on keeping consistency in testing in every part of the towns. Suspected patient should immediately admitted  after he/she is found positive. And also tests must be conducted for people who came in contact with the infected person.

Nawal also instructed to strictly take action on orders such as declaring containment zones soon after  releasing of the notice from time-to-time.

He also asked to maintain cleanliness in towns considering its needs as other contagious diseases too spread rapidly in monsoon season. Shailesh Nawal also took review of works under Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana on the occasion.
