Section 144 imposed in Chandrapur, stern action against violaters

Chandrapur : The district Collector Ajay Gulhane has imposed Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure 197 in Chandrapur from October 1 till 31.

During the period, all markets and shops will remain open from 9 am to 7 pm. However, drugbstores will be allowed to function full time.

Also, hotels and restaurantsnare allowed to start with 50 percent customer capacity from October 5.

The District Collector  has appealed to citizens not to step outside unnecessarily and to leave their homes only for urgent work. He has called upon people to follow the instructions given by the district administration from time-to time.

A fine of Rs 500 will be imposed on persons who do not wear face masks in public places.

Similarly, people spitting in public and privatelplaces will be fined with Rs 500. Administration has directed every shopkeeper to ensure distance of at least 6
feet and not more than 5 customers at a time in the shop.

A penalty of Rs 500 will be imposed for first violation of this order in rural areas. In case of second violation in rural areas,a fine of Rs 1,000 and in case of third offence the licence of the shop will be cancelled.

The fine structure for the urban areas isRs 1,000 and Rs 2,000 for first and second violations respectively while termination of job licence on the third offence. The local governing bodies will strictly enforce this orders.
