Maharashtra Government gives green signal for recruiting 6,000 teaching posts in State

The teacher recruitment process which was ceased in Maharashtra, due to the hike of the Covid-19 cases across the state, will soon begin again as the state government has given the green signal for the same. According to the school education department, in the first phase, the teacher recruitment posts will be enabled for 2,000 people from class 9 to 12 and the selection list of teachers will be announced in 2021.
The recruitment process for 12,000 teaching posts for both private and public schools was started in February 2019 through Pavitra Portal.
Out of 12,000 while 6,000 seats were recruited, the rest 6,000 were pending. In the month of May a Government Resolution (GR) was issued on which due to the economic decline of the Coronavirus crisis, all recruitment was stopped throughout the state.
School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad had met Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, where a discussion of the teacher recruitment process has occurred. “There are nearly 6,000 posts to be filled up, we will do it in a phase-wise manner. Details of the recruitment process will be released soon,” confirmed Vaishali Solanki Education Commissioner of Maharashtra.
