Many organisations in city to conduct events to celebrate R-Day today

As we know today the nation is celebrating the 72nd Republic Day amid pandemic crisis. In Nagpur city also the preparations are going on for the Republic Day celebrations. As per information, at Kasturchand Park where Guardian Minister Dr Nitin Raut being the chief guest will hoist the tricolour flag joined by MLA’s, politicians, police and district administration authorities. There is no Republic Day Parade this year except the Guard of Honour event due to the pandemic situation. It is learnt that, the authorities have scaled down the number of visitors at the Republic Day event to avoid overcrowding and ensure social distancing amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

Along with this, many social, cultural, educational, political organisations are also conducting various events on January 26. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is celebrating the 72nd Republic Day at Central Headquarters in Mahal on Tuesday.

Dr Hedgewar Smarak Samiti DR Hedgewar Smarak Samiti is also celebrating Republic Day on Tuesday at Smriti Mandir premises, Reshimbag. Renowned dentist Dr Abhay Datarkar will be the chief guest of the event. Shridhar Gadge, Mahanagar Sahasanghchalak, RSS will be the guest of honour of the programme. Tilak Patrakar Bhavan Trust TILAK Patrakar Bhavan Trust, Nagpur Union of Working Journalists (NUWJ) and Patrakar Club of Nagpur are jointly conducting a family get-together on January 26 to mark Republic Day at Press Club in Civil Lines. The entry will be restricted only to members, their spouse and two children. Meritorious children of journalists, who have scored more than 60per cent marks in SSC and HSC examinations and award-winning journalists, will be felicitated on the occasion. A musical programme will be also held at 6 pm onwards. Sarthak Bahhuudeshiya will be conducting a health check-up camp, plantation drive, Rangoli competition, drawing competition and other events to mark Republic Day programme on Tuesday at Somwari Quarters, Raghuji Nagar. The events will be jointly organised by Saksham MitraMandal, Sant Tajuddin Janmotsav Samiti, Amarswaroop Foundation, Pulak Manch Pariwar, Nagpur Citizen Forum andVishwa Shanti Seva Samiti. Nagdwar Swami Annadan Vastradan Seva Mandal NAGDWAR Swami AnnadanVastradan Seva Mandal, Shanti Nagar, is going to celebrate Republic Day on Tuesday by conducting various events.
