The Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s Nuisance Detection Squad (NDS) on Tuesday, February 2 took action against 99 irresponsible citizens for walking around without masks and recovered a fine of Rs 500 each and collected a fine of 49,500 from them. Masks were also given to all these citizens. In the last few months , NDS teams have taken action against 30,217 citizens and so far and a fine of Rs 1,34,67,500 has been recovered.
Although the number of corona patients has decreased, the risk of coronavirus infection has not been averted. Even now, safe distances are not observed in many places. In urban areas, it is dangerous to see unmasked citizens walking around. Therefore, the NDS is taking strict action against the citizens who are endangering their own health, family health and the health of the society in such an irresponsible manner and they are being given masks.
On Tuesday Laxminagar zone 16, 10 under Dharampeth zone, 7 under Hanuman Nagar zone, 3 under Dhantoli zone, 9 under Nehrunagar zone, 7 under Gandhibagh zone, 2 under Sataranjipura zone, 9 under Lakdaganj zone, 25 under Ashinagar zone, 10 under Mangalwari zone. The action was taken against 1 persons from the corporation headquarters on Tuesday under the guidance of search team chief Virsen Tambe.
In order to control the number of patients in Nagpur, the Municipal Corporation’s NDS is taking action against irresponsible citizens walking around the zone without masks every day. To protect citizens from corona it is important to wear masks, observe social distancing, wash hands, etc. All these steps is being repeatedly suggested by Nagpur Municipal Corporation. The corporation has also appealed to the intelligent and responsible citizens to protect themselves and their families from this deadly virus by wearing masks.
