Passengers returning from Sharjah to be sent to institutional quarantine

The civic administration of the city issued an order on Friday that the people arriving from Sharjah would be kept under institutional quarantine for seven days.As per information, the Sharjah-Nagpur-Sharjah flight would be resuming from February 14.The first flight would be arriving in the city on February 14 at 3.45 am.All the passengers landing from the flight be directly taken to quarantine Centre. They would be kept in quarantine for 7 days. The municipal body has made arrangement of 5 buses at the airport for the purpose.

Besides this, 10 members of civic authority nuisance squad have also been posted. After landing at the airport all the passengers would be taken to hotel. From there, they would have to contact the control centre.They would be made aware of the standing operating procedure(SOP).After 5 days, they will undergo Covid test.If they test negative, they would be allowed to leave the hotel. Apart from this, the people belonging to five categories would be exempted from institutional quarantine. These people include senior citizens above the age of 65, Expecting mothers, cancer patients, divyangs, mentally ill patients, people suffering from cerebral palsy, children below 5 years of age and their parents. Besides this, those who are on seriously ill and their relatives would be exempted from institutional quarantine
