Basant Panchami celebration is going on in city today. It is considered as auspicious day for new beginning. After this day marriages in city begins in full swing, as Basant Panchami is considered as one of the best ‘Muharat’ for celebrations.
Some celebrate this day with special puja of Goddess Saraswati. On the occasion, Managing Committee of Bhagavad Pada Sabha organised a special ‘Maa Saraswathi Vidya Havan’ at Sarveshwara Devalayam, Ramnagar.
Students appearing for the competitive exams like IPS, IAS, NDA, JEE, NEET, SSC, HSSC and their parents performed Sankalpam and Abhishekam. Parents and students took the blessing of the Goddess of wisdom Saraswati, informed K Jagdesan. Similarly Saraswati Pujan are performed in several schools and educational institutions today.
