A joint meeting of Management Council and Academic Council of Gondwana University, Gadchiroli will be held at 11.30 am on May 25. The meeting will be held on-line to nominate its representative on Search Committee for selection of its new Vice-Chancellor.
The process is being carried again as Dr Rakesh Sharma, who was selected as VC is not taking this assignment.
Dr Sharma was appointed VC on March 25, but did not even contacted the University authorities for over one month. He even did not reply to messages on e-mail of the university Registrar.
The Chancellor Bhagatsingh Koshyari directed the University to initiate the selection process again as provided under Section 11(3) of Mahashtra Public Universities Act, 2016.
