A free meal was distributed by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today with the aim of providing two meals a day to the relatives of Corona patients at the premises of Government Medical College (GMC).
GMC being a govenment hospital patients from the city and rural areas visit for corona treatment accompanied by their relatives.
Due to the curfew and lockdown imposed by the Maharashtra government due to rising cases in the city, shops of essential commodities are open till only 11 am. In such restricted timings many relatives fail to get food and are force to stay hungry.
Party workers Surendra Samundre, Sanjay Anasane, Umakant Bansode, Nikhil Mendhwade, Sandeep Kolhe, Raju Shendre, Ravi Ahirkar etc. were present in today’s free meal distribution program.
