RTMNU to decide on mode of winter exams on Saturday

The authorities of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University would take a decision on conduct of winter examinations.

The University authorities will have to deliberate upon possibility of making all arrangements for off line examination, as per Covid19 guidelines. In view of incomplete vaccination of college students and making seating arrangements for off line examinations, the colleges may face difficulties. Besides seating arrangements, testing temperature everyday at the entrance, verifying vaccination certificates, sanitising the premises, after every examination could be difficult.

Moreover, the ongoing strike of State Transport employees is posing serious problem of transportation. The issue is more serious in rural areas, where State Transport Buses are the only reliable and easy way of transport.

In view of ensuring that no student suffers on these counts, there is a greater possibility that the university may opt for on-line examinations. The decision for conducting off line summer examinations can be considered. That too depends on the situation at that time.

When contacted, Director of Examinations and Evaluation Prof Prafulla Sable told The Live Nagpur, that the decision will be taken on the mode of winter examination on Saturday.
