The Central government’s Varanasi bullet train project has been completed. Now, bullet train will run from Nagpur to Mumbai via Marathwada. The DPR will be finalised in the next two months.
The Nagpur Mumbai bullet train project is more viable. This railway track will go through Samruddhi Expressway.
Similarly, hurdles in the path of Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train will be cleared in the next two months. The groundwork for this ambitious project including land acquisition by the State government will be completed soon. In this context, discussions will be held with chief minister Uddhav Thackeray.
Stations to get a makeover
Mumbai, Dadar and Nagpur rail way stations in the state will be beautified. Exactly how much will be spent on this beautification is not known. But the platforms and other civic amenities at these three major stations in Maharashtra will be improved.
