Paying tribute to the late legendary playback singer Lata Mangeshkar, who died on Sunday, Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday announced the establishment of an academy, a music school and a museum will be named after her in her birthplace Indore.
Chief Minister, Chouhan planted a tree in memory of Lata Mangeshkar at a smart park in Bhopal on Monday.
In addition, a statue of the singer will be built in Indore, and an award named after her will be presented in the state on her birthday.
â€œHer statue will be installed in Indore, which will inspire everyone,â€ the CM said. He said Lata Mangeshkar was Madhya Pradesh’s daughter, though the state was not her ‘karma bhumi’ (workplace). Her heart throbbed for MP, the CM said.
