Maharashtra Chess Association awarded cash prize of Rs. 50000/- to WGM Divya Deshmukh for becoming National Champion by winning MPL 47th National women Championship held at Bhubaneshwar.
MCA President Dr. Parinay Fuke presented the cheque to Divya at her residence in nagpur, and assured her of all possible support for further progress. He also praised the untiring efforts of entire family in divya’s success. Also seen in picture are her parents, Dr. Jitendra Deshmukh and Mrs. Namrata Deshmukh.
Divya is the fourth youngest player ever to become the National Women Champion and the first player from Nagpur to win the title.
