BIS conducted raid on spurious manufacturer of Plywood

Raid was conducted by team of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Nagpur Branch Office, on Friday, 04 March 2022, at the premises of M/s.  Shri Jalaram Industries, Plot No 64, Umiya Industrial Area, kapsi, Bhandara Road Nagpur.

During the raid, the above firm was found engaged in misuse of BIS Certification mark without having valid BIS Certification Mark License  popularly known as ISI Mark on the product “Plywood ” without indication of any License Number.

The above manufacturer was found manufacturing and marking the Plywood with BIS certification mark without having valid license for the product to the said premises/ manufacturing Unit.

Further appropriate legal actions as per the provisions of BIS Act 2016 shall be initiated against the M/s.  Shri Jalaram Industries, and its Partners/ Proprietor.

It is for information to general public and particularly persons involved in plywood treding/ or Traders of plywood, not to use/ consume/recommend/store/sell above indicated Plywood manufactured and supplied by M/s.  Shri Jalaram Industries, Nagpur as these Brand are spuriously manufactured without following BIS norms and relevant Indian Standards and without having valid Certification Mark License from BIS.

It is suggested that consumers should ascertain the genuineness of the ISI marked products before purchase by visiting BIS website http://www.bis.gov.in. or BIS care app.

BIS hereby appeals to general consumers to share information about misuse of ISI mark to BIS Nagpur Branch Office on phone Nos. 0712-2540807, 0712-2565171 or on e-mail: ngbo@bis.gov.in, hngbo@bis.gov.in

BIS conducted raid on spurious manufacturer of Copper winding wires

Raid was conducted by team of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Nagpur Branch Office, on Friday, 04 March 2022, at the premises of M/s.  Shreyans Wires Limited, Plot No 83 Maa-Uumiya audhogik vasahat, kapsi, Bhandara Road Nagpur.

During the raid, the above firm was found engaged in misuse of BIS Certification mark/its colorable imitation by writing conforming to ISS (without having valid BIS Certification Mark License) popularly known as ISI Mark on the product “Copper winding wires ” without indication of any License Number.

The above manufacturer was found manufacturing and marking the product Copper winding wire and writing conforming to ISS by indicating various reference to Indian standards which is imitation to BIS certification mark without having valid license for the product to the said premises/ manufacturing Unit.

Further appropriate legal actions as per the provisions of BIS Act 2016 shall be initiated against the M/s.  Shreyans wires limited, and its Partners/ Proprietor.

It is for information to general public and particularly persons involved in Electrical field/ or Traders of electrical items, not to use/ consume/recommend/store/sell above indicated Copper winding wires manufactured and supplied by M/s Shreyans wires limited as these Brand are spuriously manufactured without following BIS norms and relevant Indian Standards and without having valid Certification Mark License from BIS.

BIS conducted raid on Spurious manufacturer of Packaged Drinking Water

A raid was conducted by team of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Nagpur Branch, on Friday, 04 March 2022 at the premises of M/s Jatin Assosiates, Behind Volvo, Waddhamana village Amravati  Road, Nagpur

During the raid, the above firm was found engaged in manufacturing of 1 Litre    and 500 ml. PET bottels of “Packaged Drinking Water (PDW)” with BIS Certification mark popularly known as ISI Mark and without having valid license from BIS

The “Packaged Drinking Water (PDW)” is under the mandatory certification vide Notification No. G.S.R. 760 ( E ) dated 29th September 2000 issued by  Ministry of Health & Family welfare, Department of Health, Govt. of India and as per  section 2 (ii) of the Notification which reads as  “No person shall manufacture, sell or exhibit for sale Packaged Drinking Water (PDW) except under the Bureau of Indian Standards Certification Mark”, i.e. No manufacturer ( s ) can produce Packaged Drinking Water (PDW) without BIS Certification mark, popularly known as ISI Mark under a valid license.

A raid was conducted by team of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Nagpur Branch, on Friday, 04 March 2022 at the premises of M/s Sparkling Enterprises Plot No N-31, MIDC Industrial Area Hingna road, Nagpur –   440016

During the raid, the above firm was found engaged in manufacturing of 20 Litres PET Jars of “Packaged Drinking Water (PDW)” with BIS Certification mark popularly known as ISI Mark and without having valid license from BIS

The “Packaged Drinking Water (PDW)” is under the mandatory certification vide Notification No. G.S.R. 760 ( E ) dated 29th September 2000 issued by  Ministry of Health & Family welfare, Department of Health, Govt. of India and as per  section 2 (ii) of the Notification which reads as  “No person shall manufacture, sell or exhibit for sale Packaged Drinking Water (PDW) except under the Bureau of Indian Standards Certification Mark”, i.e. No manufacturer ( s ) can produce Packaged Drinking Water (PDW) without BIS Certification mark, popularly known as ISI Mark under a valid license.
