Final decision on exam schedule in April

The State Education Department clarified the notification sent by the School Education Department, stating that the district collector will make the final decision regarding the exam schedule in the last week of April.

Teachers and educational institutions have expressed their dissatisfaction with the announcement, which specifies that exams will be held in the last week of April.

Teacher organisations in Vidarbha have urged that the school education department’s notification be revoked immediately. They argue that several schools do not have power supply, while electricity of other schools has been cut.

How can classes be conducted in such a situation in April, asked the bodies.

They also claim that many schools in the State run under tin sheds. Similarly, repair works are underway in schools in rural areas.

As temperature in April month reaches to 45 degree Celsius, students may get to face heat strokes.

Education officer Ravindra Kolatkar said that the issued notification has a mention about school timing which would be held in the morning.

The government in its notification stated that the initiative was taken out to recuperate the loss suffered by students during pandemic time.

According to the notification, exams should be held in the last month of April.

But it also mentions that local administration may also take decisions according to geographical location as far as classes in April are concerned. The teachers and organisations are opposed to the Imove which is not a good sign. Temperature this year crossed 40 degree
