The first case of the new Corona variant called Omicron XE has been detected in Mumbai. The variant is stated to be a hybrid mutant strain of Covid-19.
The XE variant is stated to be a hybrid strain of two Omicron sub-variants – BA.1 and BA.2. It was first traced in the United Kingdom recently and is spreading fast.
With all Covid-19 restrictions relaxed, people will have to be careful by using masks at least in crowded places and maintain sanitary conditions.
