Mercury touched 44 degrees C mark in five districts of Vidarbha on Thursday by again sizzling the citizens in scorching heat. Nagpur has recorded 43.2 degrees C from yesterday’s 42.4 degrees C.

The five districts registering high temperature in C included: Akola, Wardha, Washim – 44.0 each, Brahmapuri – 44.1 and Chandrapur 44 plus. Akola and Washim had registered 43.5 degrees C yesterday while all other districts in Vidarbha were fac ing temperature between 38.6 degrees C and 42.8 degrees C. However, it has suddenly climbed up on Thursday feeling pinch of the heat.
Other places recording temperature figures in C on Thursday are: Amravati – 43.2, Buldana – 41.2, Gadchiroli – 41,4, Gondia – 41.5 and Yavatmal – 42.5.
