The Indian Institute of Management Nagpur (IIM Nagpur) has bagged the prestigious Competition Success Review (CSR) Top Institute of India Award for the year 2022. This is the second consecutive year for IIM Nagpur to bag the award under the able leadership of director Dr Bhimaraya Metri. CSR, India’s premier current affairs and career publication, honours educational institutions with the award as a mark of appreciation for their commitment to excellence in higher and professional education.
The CSR award ceremony was held at Delhi on May 15, 2022. Dedicating the award to team work, Dr Metri said, “Bagging the award for the second consecutive year is a huge honour for IIM Nagpur which is fast setting a benchmark in the field of management education. We have proved that only dedicated efforts and team work can help you achieve higher goals. This award is recognition to hard work put in by IIM Nagpur faculty members, staff members and alumni.â€
IIM Nagpur’s 132-acre new campus was inaugurated by honourable President of India Shri Ram Nath Kovind on May 8, 2022. Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Education, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Industries & Mining Shri Subhash Desai, Energy Minister and Guardian Minister Shri Nitin Raut, Leader of the Opposition Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Shri Devendra Fadnavis, MP Shri Krupal Tumane and MP Dr Vikas Mahatme graced the occasion. The dignitaries were all praise for the institute’s brand-new state-of-the-art campus.
The new campus of IIM Nagpur, the fastest growing business school with best of the facility and faculty, is developed in the close proximity of the Multi Product International Cargo Hub And Airport at Nagpur (MIHAN). It is designed to cater to over 600 students in its first phase. The campus has been designed to minimize the environmental footprint while facilitating learning both inside and outside the classroom. Currently, IIMN has 20 high-tech classrooms and 24 training and seminar rooms along with a 400-seater convention centre.
Apart from its two-year full-time, residential, Master in Business Administration (MBA) programme, popularly known as Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), IIM Nagpur conducts two-year MBA for Working Professionals Programme for mid to senior level executives at Nagpur campus and at Satellite campus Pune. The classes for this programme are conducted on the weekends. IIM Nagpur started the Doctoral Programme from the academic year 2021-22 and has launched Ph.D. Executive Programme from this year. Under its Executive Education Programme, IIM Nagpur runs programmes which are tailor made considering the requirements of an individual entity which can be any corporate/private company, a government department or a PSU. Apart from this, the institute also conducts short duration Leadership Development Programmes. IIM Nagpur has been conducting eight Post Graduate Certificate Programmes on various topics of management. IIM Nagpur was the first institute in the country to launch PG Certificate Programme in Cyber Security Management & Data Science (CDS) on April 21, 2022.
