Amidst the surge in Covid cases in Maharashtra, Energy Minister, Maharashtra and Nagpur Guardian Minister Dr Nitin Raut on Monday said that ‘migrants coming from Delhi to Nagpur’ responsible for the rise in cases.
Nagpur in recent times has seen new cases of COVID-19 daily, talking the active case tally to 18.
Dr Raut also advocated ‘tracing at the airport and increased testing in urban-rural areas’ to curb the hike in Covid cases.

“Main reason behind rising Corona cases in Nagpur is migrants coming from Delhi. Most cases are from Delhi out of the 35 cases traced today. I feel we should do tracing at the airport itself & make max efforts for testing in urban-rural areas,” Dr Nitin Raut said.
Nagpur on Sunday registered two COVID-19 cases, while five new cases were recorded in Nagpur District taking the active case tally to 32.
Meanwhile, five patients recovered from the virus in 24 hours. The recovery rate of district stands at 98.21%.
