Beltarodi police have registered a rash driving and death by negligence case against the driver of the car that rammed a divider and an electric pole on Wardha Road on Friday.
The accident killed one engineering student and injured four others. Tanmay Metangade (21), an Onkar Nagar resident, was driving the car when the incident occurred.
Tanmay along with his friends. Vedant Udapure (19), Aman Yadav (19), Devansh Nigot (19) and Gaurav Raghote (19), all students of Government Engineering College were travelling in a car when Tanmay suddenly lost con trol and the car hit the divider and electric pole on it before over-turning.
All of them were rushed to nearby AIIMS where Gaurav died during treat ment. Beltarodi police later booked Tanmay.
