Nuisance Detection Force (NDS) took stringent action against 365 persons urinating, spitting at public places, using plastic bags and shopkeepers/establishments dumping garbage on footpaths, roads or open spaces on the second day on Wednesday and recovered a fine of Rs 1,02,100/- from them.
It may be mentioned here that Raj Joshi, Addl Municipal Commissioner, had asked members of the squad to start taking strict action against such persons and shopkeepers violating the rules to help keep the city clean and beautiful.
The action was taken under the guidance of Veersen Tambe, Chief of NDS.
