NMC officer booked by Chattisgarh police

The honey trap case, as reported by Chief Fire Officer (CFO) Rajendra Uchake of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), has taken a new turn. A woman claims that Uchake engaged in obscene communication with her and sent her pornographic films and images.

At this regard, a case has been opened at the Chhattisgarh police station in Rajnandgaon. Uchake had earlier claimed that the woman’s husband had attempted to blackmail him by demanding Rs 1 crore.

Through Facebook, a Chhattisgarh-based Amit Soni and a highly educated Nagpur girl met and fell in love.

In 2021, they both got married. The girl and Uchake were acquaintances. They previously used Whatsapp to communicate. However, Uchake began transmitting ob scene signals as of June 17, 2022.

Along with this, he also sent his porn videos and audios, the complaint filed by the woman states.

According to the com plaint, Uchake started pres suring her to have physical relations. When the young woman asked him to stop, he threatened to kill her along with her family, telling her that he was an officer. The complaint states that due to such threats the complainant suffered a lot of mental an guish and thoughts of suicide crossed her mind. The Rajnandgaon police has reg

istered a case under Section 506 (b), 509 (b) and 67 (a) of the IT Act.

Uchake had earlier com plained to the Crime Branch that this woman had de manded Rs 1 crore. Crime Branch officials immediately arrested Amit Soni. Soni was granted conditional bail by the Sessions Court. Soni’s lawyer Trisheel Khobragade had sent a letter to the Gov ernor and the state govern ment demanding immediate suspension of Rajendra Uchke. The manner in which the police handled the case was questionable.
