District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Nagpur in association with National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi and Maharashtra State Legal Services Authority, Mumbai is conducting National Lok Adalat on February 11 in all courts of Maharashtra.
Large number of pending cases will be entertained in the National Lok Adalat. The objective behind conducting this Lok Adalat is to solve more and more cases in a single day to reduce the burden of pending cases from the courts.
Cases like Criminal Compoundable cases, Negotiable Instrument Act cases under section 138, Bank Recovery cases, Motor Accident Claim Petitions, State Transport cases, Family Court cases, Labour dispute cases, Land Acquisition cases, Civil cases, Electricity and water bill bases etc. will be entertained in this National Lok Adalat.
DLSA is planning for pre-negotiation and per- suasion of litigants for settle- ment of disputes amicably in the Lok Adalat. It has been decided to issue notices to concerned parties prior to Lok Adalat for deliberation and discussion on issue of settlement of disputes which would facilitate to deal with controversial issues effectively on the day of Lok Adalat.
The posters, banners are also displayed at the various places of court premises, police stations, revenue department etc. for massive awareness campaign across the district for settlement of disputes of litigants on large scale. S B Agrawal, Principal District and Sessions Judge and Chairman, DLSA, Nagpur and S B Pawar, Secretary, DLSA have appealed litigants to take advantage of this National Lok Adalat.
