The crime branch officials took action and raided three hookah parlours in the Ambajhari and Bajaj Nagar localities.
The majority of hookah lounges are located in zones one and two of the police station. The DB and Crime Branch teams, as well as the Bajaj Nagar and Pratap Nagar police station officials, were scolded by CP Kumar on Wednesday morning and told to take action against illicit companies and criminals.
After which the officers of units one and two of the crime branch swung into action. Cops raided the Villa 55 hookah parlour and arrested Kartik Yewale (29) and Nabil Jama Irshad Qureshi (32). Police also seized goods worth 9,200 during the raid.
The second action also took place under the jurisdiction of Ambajhari police station at Million Dollar Cafe. Goods worth 17,000 were seized.
